The brief
DEVEKK needed a visual narrative that matched the emotional weight of the track — dark, atmospheric, and rhythmically precise. The brief was open: interpret the music visually. No storyboard was handed to me. The edit had to come from the music itself.
Role
Full post-production, cinematic editing and color grading. I built the edit from raw footage, cut to the rhythm of the track, and graded the entire piece in DaVinci Resolve to create the dark, saturated visual tone the song demanded.
The Process
Step 1 — EditThe cut was built around the music first. Every transition pointwas a beat, a lyric, or a shift in the track's energy. I workedin Premiere Pro, assembling the rough cut before moving to grade.Step 2 — Color GradeGraded in DaVinci Resolve. The look was built on deep shadows, pulled highlights, and a warm-to-cool split tone that shiftsacross the piece as the track evolves. Every scene was gradedindividually before node-based consistency adjustments acrossthe full timeline.
